Having spent more than 40 years working with top fashion designers such as Chanel, Givenchy, Yves Saint Laurent, Jean Paul Gauthier and Karl Lagerfeld, Mr. Louis Alexandre Raimon, better known as Alexandre de Paris - internationally renowned hairdresser to Hollywood stars and royal celebrities including: Audrey Hepburn, Elizabeth Taylor, Grace Kelly, Jacky Kennedy and Duchess Winsor, decided to develop a line of hair accessories in 1971 to perfect his famous French chignon. Till today, Alexandre de Paris has been the only authentic hair accessories brand in the market that wholly designs, manufactures, and decorates each piece by hand from the workshops in France.
